Mbwana Samatta helps Genk into Europa League Groups stage

Tanzania international ,Mbwana Samatta, continued his sizzling run of form for Belgium side Genk, scoring the opener in a 2-0 (4-2 on aggregate) win over Lokomotiva Zagreb on Thursday evening.

 Following a 2-2 draw in Croatia, the hosts got off to the perfect start on home soil with Samatta finding the back of the net in the second minute. 

The 23-year-old was again involved as Jamaican forward, Leon Bailey, doubled the clubs lead in the 50th minute - as Genk successfully booked their place in the group stages of the 2016-17 Europa League. 

Genk have been placed in seeding pot 2 with fellow Belgium Pro League clubs Standard Liege and Gent also involved in the group stages. Samatta has now scored six goals in 10 appearances across all competitions for Genk this season - having netted a brace against KSC Lokeren this past weekend.
