Lady Who Killed her boyfriend wins beauty contest

Ruth Wanjiru Kamande, the lady who stabbed her boyfriend to death after a love triangle link in Buruburu has been crowned Miss Langata Prison for 2016. 

 Wanjiru is currently being held in remand at the prison after she stabbed Farid Mohamed 22 times in September 2015 for cheating on her. 

Ruth became jealous after she saw a text message on his boyfriend phone which were from another woman believed to have been in a relationship with her boyfriend.

 In a recently concluded miss Langata Prison 2016, Wanjiru was able to beat other 19 candidates and emerged the winner to be crowned miss Langata prison. 

 The event also attracted local celebrities who performed including singer Avril Nyambura.
