Tanzanian to race in Uganda’s Pearl of Africa Rally

Amin who will be navigated by Prabh Bhatt in Subaru Impreza becomes the fourth Tanzanian to compete in the Ugandan round of African Rally Championship (ARC) series ten years after Stado Rally team trio; Ahmed Huwel, Omar Bakhressa and Pano Calavria tested the Ugandan rally challenge in 2006.

 Tufail, one of the most accomplished young drivers said it will be his maiden entry to a motorsports event outside Tanzania.

 “I have never competed in any rally outside Tanzania, I think it is now a good opportunity to test my driving skills against highly experienced drivers from the rest of Africa,” he said.

Amin said the arrangement for the Ugandan mission was almost complete ahead of their departure on Sunday, September 11 this year.

 ''I am looking forward to it. It should be a different feeling and experience. I am anxious to see Ugandan routes and fans, having heard and been told so much about them,” said Amin.
